May 2, 2025 Airglow
I woke up after the moon set around 1 am local time (7:00 UTC) on May 2, 2025. The sky was crystal clear but seemed bright, so much so that it was harder to see the faint fuzzies in the telescope than the night before. Long exposure photos revealed a green glow. Using the fish eye lens showed that the green glow was more pronounced around the horizons. I did not notice much in the way of ripples or movement in the glow. Also of note, there was a minor geomagnetic storm (kp=5) earlier in the night, and auroras were reported across the globe under moonlit skies. Nikon D750, 20 seconds, iso 6400, 14mm and fisheye lenses.
